Christchurch Seminar postponed until later in the year

As expected, the Seminar has been postponed until further notice, and it is hoped to still have it later in the year. Not really surprising after what has happened – there is just too much damage and chaos.

Andrew has advised that as far as he is aware, no Aikido Shinryukan Canterbury member has been injured although a number have lost or have significant damage to their businesses and homes.

The dojo in Burnside was undamaged apart from minor breakages.  The dojo in Linwood is out of action for about a week as approximately 25% of the ceiling fell down.  Luckily in both cases there is no structural damage.

Aikido Tenshindo Grading and Seminar Photos Now Available

Wow, what an amazing experience!

I was happy to see so many of our club members face the stress and challenge of a grading seminar, and turn those nerves into good demonstrations of aikido. Some brave souls even dared to smile their way through the whole thing! 🙂

Despite my own nerves, and with generous support from Connie, we have a large set of images now available via Picasa. Should be open for everyone to see, so let me know if there are any issues.

Enjoy.  http://aikido-wgtn.co.nz/photovideo/
