Beginner’s classes
We are offering beginner’s classes again:
Instructor: Paul Flynn
When: every Wednesday (it’s not a set course)
Time: 6:30pm – 8:00pm
If you want to attend, just show up on the day, wear some comfy clothes that will allow you free movement (yoga/track pants, long sleeve top) and enjoy the training!

Winter Seminar with Simon Puffett, 21 – 22 July 2012
Book the weekend of 21-22 July for a mid-winter seminar with Simon Puffett sensei. Simon has a wealth of knowledge and experience in many aspects of Aikido.
He will bring his unique style of teaching to our Wellington dojo for an action packed weekend.
“Together we will focus on the physiological movements of Aikido and weapons technique. Concentrating on keeping contact with Uke through improved posture and efficient body and hip movement.
More importantly you will be in a fun and enjoyable atmosphere with others being encouraged to explore your Aikido.
Wellington Grading 19 May
The next Wellington Grading is on Saturday 19 May.
Time: 9am – 3:30pm
Cost: $30 for the seminar, your grading fee is on top of this.
Be at the dojo at 8:30 to help with the morning cleanup and to register for the grading. Training will start at 9. The grading will occur at some time during the morning session.
Then a lunch break and another relaxed, post-grading session in the afternoon will see us through to about 3:30pm.
Please remember, if you are planning to grade:
- Attend classes regularly.
- Sign the register (with your full name to avoid confusion).
- Make sure you have paid the annual Shinryukan membership fee of $40 for 2012. If you haven’t paid yet please do!
