Official Dojo closure is from Monday 24 December 2018 to Sunday 6 January 2019.
The majority of the instructors will be on break, however Richard and probably Thomas will be training through, so check with the individual instructor about training throughout the break.

Juniors
Last class for 2018 is on Thursday 13 December. The first class for 2019 is on Monday 14 January.
If juniors pay for term 1 they can attend classes between 14 and 30 January for free.

Beat the winter blues with Aikido. Please join us for our annual open day demonstrations where you’ll learn about Aikido and experience this unique martial art first hand.

Sign up on Saturday and train for free all of August, kids will get the term for half price. Bargain!

Warm up: Before each practice we make sure we’re all warm and ready to go.

Welcome to Open day: Learn about Aikido and what makes it a very special martial art form. Our senior instructors will tell you a bit about Aikido’s origins and history as well as some of the key principles which are the foundation of Aikido.

Aikido demonstration 1: Our instructors will demonstrate Aikido techniques in a dynamic style.

10:35 -10:45am
Aikido weapons demonstration: Learn about Japanese weapons and how they are used when practicing Aikido.

10:45 -10:55am
Kids class demo: A short demonstration of our popular juniors class

10:55 – 11:05am
Break: Time to take a breather and enjoy some hot coffee and tea.

11:05-11:15am
Aikido demonstration 2: Our instructors will demonstrate Aikido techniques in a dynamic style.

11:15am-12:00pm
Aikido seminar and open mat: Join us and give Aikido a try. You will not be disappointed. All levels and ages are welcome!

2018 Junior classes during Terms 2 and 3

  • Term 2: 30 April to 9 July
  • Classes will continue through the holiday break 9 to 23 July at the usual times on Mondays and Thursdays 5pm – 5:50pm.
  • Term 3: 23 July to 30 September
  • If you pay for both term 2 and 3 you get to train through the holiday break for free.

Junior class fees:

Please remember to pay the training fees into the Club account 02-0500-0590959-00

  • $90 per term for the first child, $50 for any additional sibling, or
  • $10 for individual classes
  • Reference: Junior class

Junior classes will continue through the April term break

Junior Term dates:

  • Term 1 finishes on Friday 13 April, Term 2 starts Monday 30 April.
  • Classes will continue through the holiday on Mondays and Thursdays 5pm – 5:50pm.
  • The training fee for the two week holiday is covered by the $90 term rate.
  • The first two classes are free if you are new and want to try out.
