Dojo Xmas closure

Our official Xmas break is from Saturday 23 December 2017 to Sunday 7 January 2018.

As always, some people will continue to train over the break during the regular timetable hours, so just check with the individuals who are still around during the holidays.

Junior classes

The final day of training for Junior classes which will also conclude Term 4 is on Thursday 14 December 2017. We will then be taking a 5 week summer holiday break.

Junior classes will restart for Term 1 on Monday 22 January 2018.

Please remember to pay the training fees into the Club account 02-0500-0590959-00

  • $90 per term for the first child, $50 for any additional sibling, or
  • $10 for individual classes
  • Reference: Junior class

Fees

Please pay your training fees on time. If you pay per month the payment should go into the Club account at the start of the month for that month.

Our next seminar will be with Aaron McConnell (5th Dan) from Kimori Dojo, Nagoya, Japan on 10 & 11 February 2018.

2018 Annual Shinryukan Membership fee

The 2018 Annual Shinryukan Membership fee will be due soon and should be paid by the end of January 2018.

Please pay the $40 fee for 2018 directly and online with Hombu Dojo in Auckland.

Junior classes – New!

We are pleased to announce the addition of junior classes to our training schedule, starting in October on every Monday and Thursday 5:00-5:50pm.

During October school holidays:

  • Days: Mondays 2 & 9 October, Thursdays 5 & 12 October
  • Time: 5:00-5:50pm
  • Cost: introductory offer – Koha donation
  • Age: 7-14 years

During Term 4:

  • Start: Monday 16 October, then every Monday & Thursday during term
  • Time: 5:00pm – 5:50pm
  • Cost: $90 per term for the first child, $50 for any additional sibling
  • Age: 7-14 years

Grading & spring seminar with Simon Puffett, 6th Dan, 18-19 November 2017, Wellington

Time:
9am – 2:30pm Saturday & 9am – 2:30pm Sunday.

There won’t be a lunch break, instead we will be taking short breaks in between sessions.

Please be on time and ready on the mat by 9am.

Cost: Full weekend $50 or one day $40

 

Seminar information

The examination is only a small part of the seminar. Everyone is welcome to attend the seminar whether you are grading or not. Please note, there is a seminar attendance fee and a separate grading examination fee.

Grading information

As always there will be a proficiency test before grading. Once you have been approved to grade you will need to register & pay online via the Auckland Shinryukan website.

Please ensure you have paid your annual membership fee before registering.

Please complete the Grading application form if you are invited to grade and pay your fees one week before grading day at the latest!

Introduction to Aikido Course

Introduction to Aikido course is a great way to learn first-hand about the martial art of Aikido. The course is suitable for anyone 15 years or older and does not require any prior experience in martial arts.
